Meet the Swiss cat that has been helping guide lost tourists down a mountain - R. Agrotis Travel LTD
A friendly feline that has been helping tourists find their way down a mountain trail in Switzerland has become an internet sensation. A picture taken by a Hungarian hiker on the trail in Gimmelwald. His new feline companion appeared and helped guide the way. Image by Sc4s2cg A Hungarian man with the username Sc4s2cg recently shared his experience from 2013 on Reddit, saying that his furry friend first made an appearance while he was hiking a trail in Gimmelwald, Switzerland. “I happened on this little kitty as I was exploring some of the places near my hostel. He was just wandering around, found me while I was resting from a hike. Then he was walking and kept looking at me to follow, leading me straight to the path that would take me back down to the valley. Along the way he just stopped, hopped on a small boulder, and started listening for something. I’m assuming his next meal. I was lucky enough to take this beautiful shot of him”. Soon after sharing the picture on the forum, other excited travellers began replying to the post saying that they had seen the same cat as recently as a week ago, adding that he is still saying hello to passers-by. “We just met this cat a couple of days ago in Gimmelwald! It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Switzerland was the highlight of our honeymoon. It was seriously trippy to come across this random post on the front page! Super friendly kitty,” said user VasyaK. Another Reddit user responded to the image by posting one of their own, showing the same cat in a similar pose. “We saw him too, in May!” added user starpace1, saying that they had snapped a similar picture of the cat. Others claimed to know the cat also, stating that it was a village cat owned by a local family and that it loved to wander freely around the hills. Source
